MILLENNIUM PARK - MILLENNIUM PARK BARISTA OF THE MONTH

Meghan Ryan is the Barista of the Month for September/October 2007 at the Intelligentsia Millennium Park Café.  Meghan is one of Mill Park’s original hires from back in March of 2006, and she became a shift supervisor a few months following the opening of the café.  Although Meghan came to Intelligentsia with no coffee experience, being a Barista was always something that interested her.  “I think I got pretty lucky that Intelligentsia is my first coffee experience.”

Meghan’s favorite drink to make is a latte.  “I’m obsessed with pouring rosettas.”  But her favorite drink to enjoy is an iced mocha, because “they are just delicious.”  Meghan also likes her coffee brewed on the Clover machine.

About being a Barista, Meghan enjoys working with people in general.  She likes those positive customer reactions to a beautiful and tasty drink.  The café, “it’s just overall a great culture to be a part of.”

In her spare time, you can find Meghan sewing, antique shopping, going to museums, reading, and discussing (in depth) ANTM while picking up hip new model lingo.  Even more importantly, Meghan is always up for a dance party.
